This week has been wonderful! My birthday was on Saturday, so I thought "uh oh", because we all know that birthday's mean bad eating. But, I'm excited to say that I have been doing amazing this week. I lost two pounds this week!!!!
Josh and I went for a walk everyday this week. Not only that, but I have been keeping serious track of what I eat and staying within my range. I did allow myself a birthday dinner and dessert, but earlier that day I did super well.
I tell you what, if you are trying to lose weight like I am and don't have enough money for a gym or a ton of healthy food, utilize sparkpeople.com. It is one of the best websites I have ever seen. It has helped me get my eating under control, keep track of all my calories and keep track of how much I'm working out and how many calories I'm burning. Also, if you have that one or two people that encourage you all the way through and stick by you through thick and thin (no pun intended) that is priceless. My husband and my sister have been that for me and I tell you what, I don't know where I would be without them.
Also, if I can tell you anything...keep track of what you are eating. Limit your portions and your calorie intake. Those are both soooo important.
Please come back next week to see how I'm doing!!! Thanks for your support.

This week was great news. I lost a pound and a half in a week. This has been the best I've seen in a long time now and I think the weather has a lot to do with it.
I have been getting outside everyday and it's been great. I love being outside, and I'm totally excited because I get to start mowing the station's lawn soon and I have some yard work I need to get done this week. Our crazy little dog Molly learned what the word 'walk' means and now every time she hears it she goes crazy...which is nice because she won't stop whining until she goes for her walk. So that is great motivation. Plus, I don't know if you feel like this, but the nicer weather makes it easier to eat healthy.
Anyway, I'm excited and still going. I am now realizing that winter was a bit of a rough time to start Lose For The Fuse, but I think that it made me stronger and now this summer I will be able to work harder. Thanks for all of your support!!
See you next week.

Hello there again. I just have to say that I'm sorry for not blogging last Monday, I totally forgot in the midst of FunDrive. That is the fundraiser we have here at the station and that week is totally crazy! That being said, here is my update this week.
I gained a pound after FunDrive. Boo! But, I think I did pretty well considering I didn't eat the sweets. I think the part that killed the diet was the portions. I tell you what, if there is anything that kills my new way of healthiness, is my portions are still way too big.
But there is a glimmer of light here. During the FunDrive this week, I met a very nice lady named Christine Wiggins. She gave me an awesome chart thing to count calories per meal so I can limit my portions. I am so excited about this, plus on top of the Hip Hop Abs and the walking and stuff, I should be able to get my eating under control.
I was doing soooo good when I first started Lose for the Fuse, but since I was sick for a week, it really wasn't good for my discipline, so now I am ready to kick it in the bud and do this. Please check out the blog next week to see how I did!!!!

Well, another week has gone by. Last week was a discouraging one. Not because I didn't lose any weight, I did. But because I feel like I've fallen off the wagon as far as energy goes. Last week I was sick all week with the stuffy nose and headaches. So this was my week, I woke up at 4 a.m. went to work, came home and took a nap, was awake for a hour and then would go to bed. I would do the same thing day after day last week.
Anyway, I'm feeling a lot better this week than last. I know a lot of my loss of energy is in part due to the fact that I've been really stressed out lately. I know that stress can keep a body from losing weight and that in turn would make me more stressed. Sometimes I feel like, because everyone is watching, when I stay the same or go up a pound I let a lot of people down. But that's not it at all and I see that now.
I'm back on the wagon now, and I know I can't do this on my strength alone. That is why I keep this blog. Because you help me and keep me going. Thank you so much for coming along side with me and supporting me. I highly encourage you, if you are reading this and not supporting me, check out my first blog and see what this is all about and why in the world I would dare to put my weight on the internet.
God bless you and make sure you check out my blog next week along with Dice and the Fuse Losers.
